Support mobile applications for email testing
Status: startedWe're working on this at the moment. We'll have BlackBerry, iPhone, Symbian, Android and Windows Mobile.

Allow selection of the browser when testing web-based email clients
When testing an email in a web-based email client such as Hotmail, I would like to be able to choose which browser is used. E.g. Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc.
This is quite important, because sometimes emails are rendered differently in these web-based email clients, depending on the browser th... more
Status: startedWe're working on this. We've re-built a large part of our testing system in order to support it. Once that's ready we'll be able to release this feature.

Give reasons for spam filter block
Spam check and response is great - but as a partner who has integrated litmus in our app for email testing, EVERY customer says "Nice to see the spam filter results - but where are the reasons why a particular filter failed?" Please guys - this is common sense and seeing as you can repo... more
Status: plannedYou're right that this could definitely be improved. At the moment we try to show only the most important failure reasons, but we're going to be changing that soon and simply showing *all* the data we have from the filters.

Support micro payments like Amazon S3
I'd rather be charged for use (a certain number of cents per test for instance) than pay a flat fee. My usage is too irregular to justify going for the regular accounts and the daily pass is too much for my needs.

Spam filter tests include IP reputation
Since most modern spam filters factor originating IP sender reputation, it would be nice if litmus filter tests could be recieved directly from the sending IP...instead of being forwarded to your seed addresses.
Status: under reviewThis is an excellent suggestion, but we're wary of making the testing process more complex. To make this work we'd need to have customers send their email to many different email addresses, instead of just one. I'll leave this idea open and if it gets a lot of votes we'll look into introducing it.

Overview compatability flag
I find it can be painfully slow to go through the selected browsers and flag each as compatable or incompatable.
Perhaps if this could be done from the overview screen it might be quicker?Status: under reviewAlthough this is technically quite trivial to implement, I personally believe you need to view the full size screenshot to decide whether something is compatible or not.
Based on the feedback though, I'm happy to leave this under review to see if it's something lots of our customers are interested in.

API to allow me to submit a test
I intend on using this for automated error testing in webpages - along the idea of "having problems viewing this page - click here to report it to our web team"
then users can help guide fixes for large sites that need content/design fixes.
Status: startedThat sounds like a fantastic use case! We have a customer API in place already, and we're in the process of putting together better and more comprehensive documentation. As soon as it's ready we'll announce it on our blog.

Show the URL of the test on the 'Test overview' screen
On the Overview screen for an individual test, it would be good to display the URL. Currently this is shown on the home page when you first log in, but isn't shown when you're viewing the overview of a test.

change properties of a test that has already been set up
If I want to add a browser, I have to create a whole new test.
Status: plannedI agree this would be tremendously useful. We're planning to allow this, but it will require significant changes to our application, because of the way we implemented the relationships between tests and test versions. It's coming, but it may be a little while.

Add Entourage as a client for email testing.
I would really like to see Entourage added as a client for email testing as many large businesses (that may be recipients of emails) utilize it on Mac machines. So for Business-To-Business emails or companies, it's very necessary.
I also see a lot of ad agencies whose creative team is forced ... more

Use your own domain for published tests
It would be great if i could use my own domain or a subdomain of my domain e.g. http://tests.solunic.at or http://litmus.solunic.at for my Litmus account
Status: plannedWe're planning to add this. We'll let you use your own domain name for any of your published test pages.

Allow the ability to report an issue with the Browser/Email Client.
Often I've come across an issue with one of the web browsers or email clients I'm testing. It would be great if with one click, I could instantly report an issue with that particular browser/client, perhaps with an easy drop-down menu of possible issues (ie. images not displaying, screenshot not... more
Status: plannedThis is a great idea. At the moment we do monitor problematic clients, but detecting problems within the capture image is almost impossible. Having a list of the reported problems would help us to identify and rectify the problem much sooner.

Get a tabular view of tests
It is nice seeing thumbnails but for many pages, this doesn't work. A table showing status with some action links to repeat tests would be even better.
Status: plannedI completely agree. We're working on some UI changes and this will be one of them.

Allow to test from different operating systems and different screen resolutions
I would like the option to test my designs from different Windows and Mac operating systems, namely:
Windows: XP, Vista and Windows 7
Mac 10.4 and 10.5
In terms of a screen resolutions - not sure which options should be available, but I think it would be helpful.

Windows Mail is gaining popularity, and I would like to be able to to test my emails on it using Litmus.

Add W3C validation testing of password-protected sites
Use the same username and password entered when setting up the test to run the W3C validator.

Create a better management and organization of tests
It would be useful if there was better test management/organizational tools so you could group tests by project or separate page tests and email tests.
Also this would allow easier batch jobs like retesting a whole set of tests when a new release is available.

Support zoom in/out
Allow option to increase decrease text and (when available) page zoom (at least 2 steps each way)
Status: under reviewWe'd love to add more accessibility-related features like this to our browser testing tool. I'm going to add this to our roadmap, but it may be a few months until we're ready to release.

Provide difference image analysis
and show measures in pixels
Status: under reviewThis is a great idea. We plan at some point to offer something along these lines, but it's likely to be a while before it'll appear in the product.

Support mobile applications for browser testing
Similar to support mobile email clients it would be great if mobile browsers would be supported.
Status: startedGood news! Like mobile email testing, this is also underway. We'll be releasing it shortly after we release the mobile email testing.
